Contact prints, while not as exciting as the actual direct exposure prints, can be very interesting and fun to produce. I’ve included a few made from photos taken by my wife, Liz Zazulak, that were later used to produce blueprint photos. The scans don’t show the richness of the blue in the images, but you get the idea.

This boxcar is in a field outside of Adrian, TX. The photo was taken using a digital camera, and a color transparency was used for the contact print. The original is viewable here.

Detail

Even though blueprint paper is not known for detail, it still has sufficient det ail to accent this Grand Canyon photo. Again, a digital camera was used for the photo, but this time a monochrome transparency was made.
